Proud of our PR Awards: 2007 & 2009

At Jungle PR our aim is continually to strive to provide our clients with the best possible PR service. Since Jungle was founded five years ago we are proud to have won a clutch of CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide Awards that demonstrate our dedication to excellence and self improvement.

The CIPR PRide Awards is the only scheme which showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions and nations and sets industry standards. There are 24 award categories and the judging process is rigorous, with a national panel of industry experts who asses the shortlisted entries and choose the winners.

Jungle PR first entered the Awards in 2007, when we collected a Gold Award for 'Best Use of Media Relations' for our client BeWILDerwood and a Silver Award for 'Outstanding Small Consultancy'.

At the December 2009 Awards, we proved our position as one of the region's top PR consultancies by winning two Gold Awards - for 'Best Outstanding Small Consultancy' and 'Best Campaign £10k and Under' for ZAKS Restaurants, in Norwich. We were also a finalist in 'Best Media Relations Campaign' for Hawkin's Bazaar toy shops in Suffolk.

Judge's comments:

The judges liked the uncomplicated entry, and felt the evaluation and analysis of performance was well expressed. The results information helped to give judges a rounded view of a highly-active consultancy. The judges also liked the listing of the outstanding achievements, which Jungle included in the entry, and really felt the passion and pride the team exudes.

As part of their PR campaign for ZAKS Restaurants, the chain of American-themed diners, Jungle came up with the idea of creating the world's first ever wedding burger for the wedding reception of a couple of ZAK's afficionados.

The 42lb, 18in-wide burger captured the imagination of the nation's print and broadcast media and started a global debate through numerous online forums and websites. A fun and creative stunt, which achieved 3.5 million hits on Google for a miniscule budget.

CIPR PRide Awards 2007: Judge's comments:

"To launch Bewilderwood, a 50-acre wild and imaginative adventure park located near Wroxham, Norfolk. An excellent campaign that achieved outstanding coverage across national and regional press, enabling Bewilderwood to smash their visitor targets for the first week of opening. A 90 per cent press launch attendance figure is a true testament to the quality of the campaign and this unique tourist attraction."

The judges were impressed that over the last two years Jungle has gained a wide-ranging list of clients, including a handful of national names. Most came through reputation and pitches, often against larger regional and London agencies.
